As a required component of the curriculum, residents participate in
a class retreat each year. The Duluth Family Medicine Residency
Program provides an all-expenses paid weekend at one of the
area's major resorts.
There is a structured program to address issues of residency stress
and achieving a healthy balance in life that is facilitated by
members of the faculty and lots of time to enjoy the resort's
recreational activities. Spouses and significant others are
strongly encouraged to participate.
