The PGY-1 curriculum emphasizes a strong hospital education on specialty services.  Although the emphasis is hospital medicine, residents begin their ambulatory medicine training in the Family Practice Center.  

Rotations Orientation (1 Week)
Community Medicine (1 Month)
Clinical Skills (1 Month)
includes Anesthesia
Dermatology, ENT or Ophtho (.5 Month)
Emergency Medicine (1 Month)
General Surgery (1 Month)
Internal Medicine (3 Months) service
NICU (1 Month) service
Obstetrics (1.5 Month) service
Pediatrics (2 Months) service
Clinic 1-2 half-days per week
Service Call All service call except Obstetrics is managed at home by pager.  Service call is taken on Obstetrics, Internal Medicine, NICU and Pediatrics
House Call Average 3-4 days per month
