Medicine Clerkship
Fully integrated with our highly regarded residency,
our clerkship offers an exciting array of elements. Students
work alongside residents on the high-volume obstetrics service,
manage a diversity of patient problems in the Duluth Family Practice
Center, assess new admissions to the hospital (St. Mary's Medical
Center & St. Luke's Hospital) and participate in the comprehensive
conference series.

Obstetrics Fellowship
The SMDC Health System offers a
1-year fellowship for Family Medicine physicians who desire advanced
training in obstetrics and procedural medicine subsequent to medical
practice in rural locations. Four months of training will be
dedicated to routine and high-risk OB and C-sections. Eight months
of training includes emergency medicine, trauma, electives and
practice in a regional outpatient setting
